The testimonials are one of the many custom post types that a theme can come with, depending on its intended use. They are used for quoting someone else’s word, and providing social proof in order to boost your credibility.
Unlike other post types such as portfolios, each testimonial does not have its own page. Instead, they are used as part of the layout within the theme, often in a grid or a slideshow.
How Are Testimonials Used?
A testimonial makes use of the post title, the content, and the featured image. The title is normally used for representing the name of the person in the testimonial, while the content describes the actual quote. The featured image is used as a small preview of what the person looks like.
