It’s been roughly three weeks since we made our changes to our payment gateways for theme subscriptions. So far, everything seems to indicate that it was a good decision. And to top it all, we’ve added a SSL certificate for better security, which encrypts all your payment data so it cannot be sniffed out by any means.

However, some people have reached out to us and told us that weren’t able to complete their payment on the checkout page, or didn’t have a credit card to pay with. First off, we want to say that we’re thrilled to have people actually take the effort to get in touch and want to buy our subscriptions. Seriously, thank you guys. Since this occurred more than a few times, we’ve finally opted for a more flexible payment method, and we’ve decided to keep PayPal as a payment gateway for our site.

This isn’t a change that reverts our previous decision. We love the way Stripe has simplified our payments both for us and our customers too– its interface is really easy to understand, and you don’t have to go through any kind of complicated processes. However, we can’t deny that PayPal is nowadays an ubiquitous service, and is probably the most used digital wallet system.

The change will allow you to pay securely using Stripe like before, but now you’ll also have the option to go to PayPal if you desire to do so. This way, you can have the best of both worlds.
